hello community, recently I asked myself if it
wouldn’t be better for RebornOs to ship ungoogled Chromium
instead of regular Chromium, I suppose the
the workload would be the same and the gain therefrom,
a further privacy-oriented web browser in the Reborn-OS
repos, which is a big selling point?
Something we may consider in the future. I don’t actually think Chromium is that popular but I could be wrong.
We are working on finishing automation for our Repositories at the moment which would make it more feasible to ship things like this unlike at the moment which would be quite difficult.
thank you for your reply, this automation thing sounds good, just consider it when
you have time for that.
I was just thinking, at the moment are usable privacy browsers quite rare.
We do have Librewolf at the moment which is a privacy respecting fork of Firefox
as an explanation:
I use browser isolation, so my demand on
browsers is quite high.
but anyhow do your automatization tasks that should go first,
than you can think about
For now I helped myself with Epiphany-Browser, since I dont really
trust brave browser as it is, was deciding to get rid of.
