Bootloader installation fails

I got an error when tryin to use the online installer claiming the bootloader could not be installed. Im usin the newest iso available and tryin to install Reborn with kde plasma , the exact error link is posted here:
The bootloader could not be installed. The installation command

grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=RebornOS --force
returned error code 1.

Hi @clynical

Are you able to share or upload the logs to a paste site?

Yes, https://termbin.com/197z

I see from the logs that the main problem is that the directory /boot/efi/RebornOS could not be created. Was this a manual partitioning? Could you share the output of the below commands on the ISO?

sudo fdisk -l

sudo lsblk

i used reborn to replace a previously used partition

The mount at /boot/efi in the logs appears to be taken from /dev/sda2. Could you share details about that partition please?

The installer was not able to create a directory there, so one has to check what is going on with it

/dev/sda2 1085440 1288191 202752 99M EFI System

I see. It might be too small for use. Would you be able to create a partition for EFI that is at least 300 MB (500MB or more preferred) anywhere on any disk, where you have free space, format it as FAT32, and then choose the bootloader to be there? You will need to select the manual method when asked for where to install RebornOS

Let me know if you need any assistance in doing manual partitioning and selecting mount points on the installer.

I could use the help and i think i already found a partition for the bootloader, size 1 GB

Alright. Do you prefer the forum, or would you be okay with live chat on Discord?

not a huge fan of discord but would be fine if u dont use somethin like matrix

If you are on Matrix, that works too: https://matrix.to/#/#rebornos:matrix.org
