hi there, gladly hear you work on the new installer would help but I only have experience with PHP and Python.
So to my Problem, I have KDE and I have an Asus and a Acer Monitor attached over a KVM switch.
For short time I was testing a TV-Monitor and took the place of my Acer Monitor.
After I reconnected my Acer , the settings still shows as the TV-Monitor would be attached.
so far I tried reconnect and restart … any idea someone ? thx in advance …
Hey i digged around a little and found this 390283 – Plasma sees external monitor after disconnecting open bug report can you try its proposed work around xrandr -q alternatively it can be saved in ~local/share/kscreen might be worth looking at if it doesn’t work.
thanks, for the reponse, I deleted kscreen also tried a reset with xrandr did not help.
Even not after a restart.
Then I had the idea to cut the connection between my Acer monitor
then restart without the connection to the KVM.
Then connect, and restart again. THAT HELPED … seems to be a KVM switch oddity
wich keeps old settings to the system somehow : - /
I’m glad that worked I’m not sure what the issue is i couldn’t replicate it with my own kvm switch
