Overlapping characters

Hi! Running Gnome 44.4 on Linux 6.4.12-arch1-1

Is this overlapping fixable?

Hi @sersldmir

Would you be able to provide the below information?

  1. Which application is this?
  2. Does this problem happen on other apps?
  3. Does your desktop environment have a theme applied?
  4. Have you changed the font or fractional scaling in the settings?
  1. Inbuilt settings app. It’s “Displays” options. The overlapping happens on confirmation on setting settings for several monitors
  2. Haven’t noticed in other apps
  3. Orchis theme applied.
  4. Fractional scaling is untouched. Font - Inter Medium 14.

See the screen attached

Would you be able to do a test for me? Does this problem still appear if you disable your custom theme and if you change the font to 12pt size?

Changed the font size - still appears. The theme cannot be disabled fully, even though i choose “default” in Gnome Tweaks. Probably it rewrote some config files

With no theme and standard font sizes, here is my screen shot of the same Gnome version:

Maybe it is the font, but likely whatever changes were made on Gnome Tweaks caused the problem.

You may want to gradually rollback changes in Gnome Tweaks and see how this issue changes.

Can you make a screenshot when changing smth in the Display settings so that the title changes to “Apply Display Changes”?

Okay, definitely a theme issue. Thanks!
