`RebornOs` mate the screen went "black" after about 10 minutes

Ιn a new RebornOs mate installation, the screen went “black” after about 10 minutes.
The solution I implemented:
I created a hidden .xprofile file in the user folder (/home/user)
and inside it I added the following:

xset s off

and it seems to be a correct solution.
