I’m unable to install KDE Plasma 6 from within Rebornos fire…

Hi @robodonster70 ,

Until @SoulHarsh0071 fixes this problem, you can install KDE Plasma easily with this:

  • Install KDE Plasma

sudo pacman -S plasma-meta sddm

  • Install KDE Plasma Apps

sudo pacman -S kde-applications-meta

  • Launch Plasma

Logout and find a menu in your display manager that lists various sessions.
Choose Plasma there and then you can login to KDE Plasma.

I have lightDM

You can additionally switch from LightDM to SDDM if you prefer (SDDM is the official display manager of KDE Plasma). But LightDM is a general purpose display manager which should work with KDE Plasma too

Let me know if you run into any problems installing KDE Plasma. Just two commands should give you everything you need

I seem to use Rebourn OS Fire alot and for any upgrades with in the app when you want to install additional and uninstall DEs’, would this be possible?

I am sorry. @SoulHarsh0071 is the developer for the FIRE application. I handle the installer and live ISO. You may direct your feedback about the app to him :slight_smile:
