[Does not work anymore] RebornOS Installer Fails - Temporary workaround to install

Dear RebornOS Community,

If the RebornOS installer fails citing internet connection problems (like in the below screenshot), this article presents a temporary workaround for you to be able to install successfully.

Instructions for a temporary workaround:

1. Close the installer
2. Run the below commands on the terminal one-by-one:

   sudo sed -i 's/167.140.27.104/8.8.8.8/g' /usr/share/cnchi/src/misc/extra.py
   sudo sed -i 's/167.141.27.104/1.1.1.1/g' /usr/share/cnchi/src/misc/extra.py
   sudo cnchi-start.sh
   

3. If your internet connection is functional, you should now see that the installer correctly recognizes that.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We are working on a long-term fix for this.

With this workaround i was able to install RebornOS.

If you go to the download page of the RebornOS website, there is an installer update. We have not made the announcement yet, because the link needs to be updated from Google.
