Seems like one of the older versions of `rate-mirrors` in our repo might have a bug. It is fixed in the AUR, but it isn’t there in our repo yet. The first command above bypasses any repos to use the AUR version of `rate-mirrors`.

`refresh-mirrors` is a thin wrapper script over `rate-mirrors`.

**It could be harmless!** … But if you see other problems with keys and cannot upgrade, do the below to refresh the keyrings

```sh
sudo pacman-key --init
sudo pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring
sudo pacman -Sy rebornos-keyring
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux rebornos
Hi @Mangled . Check this out: [https://rebornos.discourse.group/t/orangr-pi-5-install-and-update](https://rebornos.discourse.group/t/orangr-pi-5-install-and-update)
There may be a corresponding package for Rock 5b that you can search for by using `pacman -Ss <partial name>`
How do you revert back to OS distribution (rate-mirrors) and not have the packages downloaded through AUR?
@Mangled These instructions are not applicable to RebornOS ARM or BredOS. Using the AUR is suggested here because in the alternative way, it is extra complicated to do manual file editing to get the latest `rate-mirrors` which will add our new mirrolist. But this mirrorlist does not have any ARM packages at all.
I also did not understand your question completely
sorry, I was trying to fix the issue I had with the database which i resolved earlier by removing the RebornOS from pacman.conf which prior I had ran command yay -S aur/rate-mirrors
This had caused my desktop default applications, icons, etc to change and desktop theme has been altered regarding this. Is there a way to revert the update since that was not the issue to begin with?
Sorry I may be confused on how the script actually worked. It made me download packages that were for rust and am now not sure if that was a good idea or not.
@Mangled If you installed rate-mirrors from the AUR, rust packages come in just to compile and build the source code. They are make dependencies and you can remove cargo or rust safely.
You said you have other changes like the theme. Perhaps your OS transitioned to BredOS? Install and run `neofetch` if you’d like to check if that happened.
yes it had transitioned to BredOS. It may have been the cause
